URD Technician

URD Technician Apprentices shall be provided with employment in the following categories:

• Installation – including cable, conduit, padmount transformers, termination, splicing, trenching and shoring.
• Removal – including URD cable, transformer—pedestal, and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshooting – including locating faults, restoring service, testing conductors and joints, switching and grounding.
• Equipment operation – including operation of backhoe, trencher, directional boring machine, vibrating plow, and forklift.
